OILFIELD FRACING / CEMENTING PACKING Frac Pump Plunger Packing Systems Plunger Packing Lube is not new to the industry, but automating the systems are! By maintaining a film of grease in your packing and using that grease to not only lubricate, but flush contaminants, the life of your packing can be extended 10 fold or more! Industrial Autolube International Inc. has designed a system that not only supplies grease to the packings, but is self compensating for speed. As the speed of the frac pump increases the system will dispense more lubricant. As it slows, the system will dispense less lubricant. The System consists of 3 main components: The Pump The Metering Device The Controls The Pump: Is a Dropsa Bravo unit that is 12 or 24 VDC that has the 8 Kg (17 lb) reservoir built in. Pump elements come with internal built in relief. Expandable reservoir Can pump grease or oil The Metering Device: Is a Dropsa SMX Series Progressive Flow Divider that will enable the monitoring of grease or oil through it, as well as pin-point any blockages in the system with additional accessories. This same unit can be configured with a single outlet to as many as 6 outlet points from the same footprint. Adding additional segments will allow even more outlets. The Controls: The controls are simple off the shelf components that provide the functionality to allow the system to dispense more or less lubricant as the Frac pump speeds up or slows down. They also monitor the flow of lubricant and alarm if there is an interruption of lubricant flow. The system will automatically pause if the frac pump stops for any length of time. There are also no knobs, dials or switches for the operators to play with, lessening the "Fiddle Factor"! Proximity Switches monitor the system for lubricant flow and frac pump movement. All connections are "Quick Disconnect" for easy, fast installation, troubleshooting or parts replacement. Controller with system proximity switches and cables with pre-installed and labeled ends. Installation time on a typical unit is approx 10-12 man-hours, so 2 men can have a unit done in about 1/2 a day! We pre-assemble and mount components for "bolt-on" installation. Packing Life has improved by a factor of 10 Times!! Oil consumption has decreases from 20 to 30 gallons per service, to less than 1/2 lb of grease!!
